The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Pesawaran Regency held the Development of Love Statistics Village (Cantik Village) activity on Friday, 17 May 2024. This activity was attended by village officials from 4 villages, namely Batu Menyan Village, Bagelen Village, Sukadadi Village, and Hanura Village .
The event was opened directly by the Head of BPS Pesawaran Regency, Mr. Ir. Sugiarto. In his speech, he conveyed the importance of statistical data in supporting effective village planning and development. He also hopes that the participants can utilize the knowledge gained in this activity to increase statistical literacy in their respective villages.
Next, the main event was hosted by Mrs. Lia Gustina, a young expert statistician at BPS Pesawaran Regency. In this session, Mrs. Lia explained the various types of statistical data available, as well as how to read and understand the statistical data. He also gave examples of the application of statistical data in village activities.
The participants seemed enthusiastic about taking part in this activity. They asked Mrs. Lia a lot about statistical data relating to their respective villages. The question and answer session was interactive.
This activity can certainly be a catalyst in efforts to increase the capacity of village officials in understanding and utilizing statistical data. In this way, village officials will be able to maximize existing data in making policies, evaluating the performance of activity programs and optimizing the allocation of existing resources.
