Abstract

  • The economy of Lampung in quarter I-2017 measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices reached Rp75.68 trillion, and at constant prices reached Rp53.68 trillion.
  • The economy of Lampung in quarter I-2017 grew 5.11 percent higher compared to the same quarter of the previous year (y on y) of 5.06 percent. In terms of production, the highest growth was achieved by the business field of Electricity and Gas Procurement; Mining and excavation; Transportation and Warehousing; And Information and Communication. In terms of highest growth expenditure was achieved by the Export Expenditure Component by 20.56 percent, followed by Non-Profit Institution Consumption Expenditure of 17.97 percent and Household Consumption Expenditure of 5.63 percent.
  • Lampung economic growth in quarter I-2017 increased 6.59 percent compared to the previous quarter (q-to-q). In terms of production, some agricultural commodities of food crops and horticulture began to enter the harvest period, resulting in an expansive growth of 36.95 percent. The expenditure side was supported by export growth of 13.82 percent.
  • Spatially, the economic growth of the Sumatra Island region in the first quarter of 2017 grew by 4.05 percent, and the highest in the province of Bangka Belitung Islands by 6.42 percent.
