Abstract

August 2017, Bandar Lampung City experienced a deflation of 0.42 percent due to a drop in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 130.50 in July 2017 to 129.95 in August 2017. Two expenditure groups contributed to deflation in Bandar Lampung City, the group foodstuffs contribute to 0.30 percent deflation; and the transport, communication & financial services group by 0.16 percent. On the contrary, two expenditure groups contributed to inflation, ie the processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco contributed to inflation by 0.03 percent; and the health group by 0.01 percent. While the other three groups did not contribute to inflation.
