The Open Unemployment Rate in Lampung Province is 4.03 percent

Abstract

In August 2019, the number of the Workforce in Lampung as many as 4.25 million people, up as much as 17.32 thousand people from August 2018. However, Labor Force Participation Rate (TPAK) decreased by 0.58 points.
In the past year, TPT decreased by 0.03 points. Seen from the education level, TPT for Middle Schools Vocational (SMK) is highest among other levels of education which is 9.52 percent.
The number of employed people is 4.08 million, rising as many as 17.55 thousand people from August 2018. Three fields jobs that have increased percentage of the population the highest employed is the Manufacturing Industry (2.24 points), Educational Services (0.73 points), and Accommodation Provision and Provision of Drinking Food (0.45 points). Whereas three the largest decline in employment is Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Mining and Excavation (2.13 points), Other services (0.42 points), and Wholesale and retail trade; Car Repair and Maintenance and Motorcycles (0.36 points).
A total of 2.79 million people (68.47 percent) of the population are employed in informal activities, the percentage dropped by 2.33 points compared to August 2018.
Of the 4.08 million people employed, 8.70 percent entered underemployed category and 31.19 percent of workers part time. In the past year, half were unemployed down by 0.65 points and part-time workers rising by 4.03 points.
