Abstract

December 2024, Year on Year (y-on-y) inflation in Lampung Province will be 1.57 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Mesuji Regency at 1.78 percent.In December 2024, there will be year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Lampung Province of 1.57 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.43. The highest inflation occurred in Mesuji Regency at 1.78 percent, with a CPI of 111.14 and the lowest occurred in East Lampung Regency at 1.37 percent with a CPI of 110.55.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by the increase in most indexes (inflation) of expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group which experienced inflation of 1.83 percent; clothing and footwear group 2.78 percent; housing, water, electricity, household fuel group 0.58 percent; health group 1.19 percent; recreation, sports and culture group 2.27 percent; education group 5.67 percent; food provision group and personal care and other services group 4.86 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index (deflation) were: equipment, tools and routine household maintenance by 0.15 percent; transportation group 0.51 percent; and the information, communication and financial services group at 0.62 percent.

In September 2024, the year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate in Lampung Province was 2.16 percent. The highest inflation occurred in Mesuji Regency, reaching 2.84 percent.
