BPS Pesawaran Regency & Hanura Village Collaborate: Enhancing Village Data with Statistical Agents

On Friday, April 26, 2024, the BPS of Pesawaran Regency and the government of Hanura Village, Teluk Pandan Subdistrict, Pesawaran Regency, collaborated in the framework of the "Statistics Loving Village" program, commonly known as "Desa Cantik" or Beautiful Village. During the meeting, representatives from the BPS of Pesawaran Regency directly met with the Head of Hanura Village, Mr. Rio Remota, to discuss the action plan to be implemented in the Desa Cantik program.

One of the main initiatives of the Desa Cantik program in Pesawaran Regency is the implementation of distance learning on statistical literacy for government officials and village communities who are part of the program's sample. In this effort, the BPS of Pesawaran Regency will develop statistical agents in the villages involved in the Desa Cantik program. These statistical agents will be equipped with knowledge of basic statistics, data collection techniques, as well as dissemination and publication practices.

The hope behind the formation of these statistical agents is that they can become pioneers in improving the quality of statistical data in the villages, which will in turn positively contribute to better village development planning in the future. Thus, the Desa Cantik program is expected to bring significant changes for the progress and welfare of village communities in Pesawaran Regency.
